Which SIM card should I select?

We have two SIM cards for Denmark:

Smartphone (Voice&Data) SIM is perfect if you need both calls and mobile internet access, to use from your cellular phone.

The SIM card does not include any initial call balance, used for for outbound calls and text messages. Therefore, we recommend that you together with your order of HolidayPhone, purchase top-up for the call balance of the Smartphone SIM card. We sell top up in denominations of €10 and top up your balance with the top-up you purchase so that your SIM card is topped up and ready to go when you arrive.

Mobile broadband SIM card (Data-Only SIM) is a perfect travel data sim card for iPad, tablet or for usage in modem/laptop. There is no voice feature on the Data-Only SIM card.

The internet access works for all handsets except Blackberry.

Flat rate 3G mobile internet in Denmark

Voice&Data SIM

With the Smartphone (Voice&Data) SIM card, 2GB mobile internet usage is included in the price of the start pacakge, which is more than adequate for large amounts of mobile surf/email/Facebook usage from a smartphone.

Data-Only SIM card for Denmark

This is a SIM card for mobile broadband in Denmark. You can use it in an iPad or other tablet/PC. Choose between 10GB or UNLIMITED mobile internet usage in 3G speed.

The 10GB option is recommended if you plan to watch streaming video/TV, use Spotify or other high-demand broadband services through your iPad/tablet or laptop. 10GB is more than adequate for normal web surfing on the internet, read email, follow Facebook including image uploads and navigating using GPS.

If you plan to use extensive amounts of multimedia through Internet (stream movies/music etc) during several hours, we also have a completely unlimited data sim card for Denmark.

For most people that don't plan to use large amounts of streaming multimedia, 10 GB is more than enough.

SIM Card validity

The package is valid for 30 days from your day of departure. If you need to stay away for more than 30 days, you can order mulitple 30-days packages and then email us on support@prepaidsimcard.org to notify us that the purchase of multiple packages is designated for extension of the SIM card validty rather than separate SIM cards.

Example: You are going to stay away for 80 days and therefore buy 3 x 30 days SIM cards. Then you notify us so that we send you 1 SIM Card valid for 90 days. If you don't notify us, we will instead deliver 3 SIM cards that are each valid 30 days from the day of your departure.

Making international calls from Denmark

When making international calls using the Smartphone SIM card for Denmark, just dial the number in international format, starting with a + sign followed by the international country code and number without the leading 0 in the area code.

For example, to call the Australian (country code 61)
mobile number 0411 222 333 you dial +61 411 222 333

Receive calls in Denmark

All calls are free of charge to receive.

As the SIM card works in multiple countries, it comes with a local phone number of Austria.

In order to use the SIM Card you need a handset that is compatible with 3G, 2100Mhz (European 3G frequency).

Choose between Micro, Nano or Standard sized SIM

When ordering, you can choose to get a Micro, Nano or Standard sized SIM card.
- Standard size is used in most phones.
- Micro SIM cards are used in iPhone 4/4S and a few newer phone models.
- Nano SIM cards are so far only used by iPhone 5.
